Sanitation

In most developing nations, rapid urbanisation and its attendants effects on the environment as well as rapid population growth has placed strains on the existing infrastructure. It has affected the capacity of the governments to provide effective sanitation measures. Though governments are trying tried to overcome this problem through urban development programmes, the total costs required for successful operations and difficulty in achieving attitudinal changes, lack of political will to implement workable measures etc continue to mar their efforts. This leads to poor hygiene conditions, poor water quality and a myriad of health issues.

At Ecofocus, We strongly believe that the living conditions of millions of people in non-sewered urban areas can be fundamentally improved. According to the World Health Organization the absence of proper sanitation and efficient working wastewater treatment services is still causing over 842,000 deaths in low/middle income countries each year.  We work with Municipal authorities to design and provide sanitation solutions that work. Our work cut across, building of sanitation infrastructure, Research, designing and modeling different tailor-made concepts and offering training.
